23 Sep Year 6 pupils have started the new school year as explorers of their own minds.
We have been learning to understand the difference between a fixed mindset and a growth mindset. Sometimes we believe we don’t have the ability to do something because we were born without a specific talent and we become stuck in a fixed mindset. But if we believe that talent is something that can be developed we can try to improve through practice and study and change our way of thinking into a growth mindset.
Kid average: I can’t speak amazing English. It’s too difficult for me because I don’t have a talent for learning languages.
Kid awesome: English can be difficult but if I practice, read and study as much as possible, as well as watch the television in English, I can improve and one day I know I will speak amazing English.
Are you kid average or kid awesome? Change your fixed mindset into a growth mindset like the year 6 pupils.
